Carbon Ceramic Brake Disc, CCB is an ultra-high-performance brake disc made of C/SiC ceramic matrix composite material. It combines the toughness of carbon fiber with the high-temperature performance of ceramics. It has the advantages of light weight, high temperature resistance, stable braking performance, and long life. It is often used in high-end sports cars and electric vehicles such as F1 racing cars, Lamborghini, and Porsche. It can significantly reduce unsprung mass, improve control, and effectively reduce brake fade. However, its high manufacturing cost limits its popularity.
Main features and advantages
Lightweight material: About 50% lighter than traditional cast iron discs, reducing body weight and improving acceleration and handling.
High temperature resistance: It can withstand high temperatures exceeding 1000°C, with excellent thermal stability and almost no thermal attenuation.
Excellent braking performance: high and stable friction coefficient, excellent performance on wet/dry roads, shorter braking distance.
Extremely long life: under normal use, the life span can reach hundreds of thousands of kilometers, far longer than ordinary brake discs.
Corrosion-resistant and cleaner: less likely to rust and produce less brake dust during operation.

Core ingredients: carbon fiber (providing toughness) and silicon carbide (SiC) matrix (providing hardness and heat resistance).
Working principle: A stable carbon film will be formed during braking, making friction smoother and reducing noise and vibration.
